“I believe creativity is the soul’s way of communicating with the world.”

Amanda Whitworth, the artist behind "Sawdust and Soul," is a Seattle-based furniture flipper, artist, and storyteller.
She began woodworking as a therapeutic outlet after being diagnosed with a rare form of metastatic cancer in 2017.
Amanda's journey includes experiences with Lynch Syndrome, a hereditary condition that heightens her risk for various cancers. Her passion for furniture transformation evolved from a hobby to a business where she revamps discarded pieces into beautiful, functional art.
On her Instagram and YouTube, Amanda shares her artistic process, cancer journey, and personal growth, aiming to inspire others to pursue their passions fearlessly.
In addition to her furniture work, she collaborates with fellow artists on projects, creating pieces that integrate woodworking with artistic design. Through her platform, Amanda connects with followers who are drawn to her openness, resilience, and creativity, exemplifying the spirit of living authentically and fully.
