1. Jigsaw

A jigsaw was the first tool I ever bought and such a handy thing to have around your shop. This is a great one Makita JV0600K Top Handle Jig Saw and this was the one I started with RYOBI ONE+ HP 18V Brushless Cordless Jig Saw

2. Scrollsaw

One of the top questions I get is how do I make my mountain landscape pieces? A scroll saw! Oh my are these so fun to use and open up your creative world to so many more opportunities!

One of my favorites is DEWALT Scroll Saw, Variable-Speed, 1.3 Amp, 20-Inch

3. Pocket Hole Jig

Okay I’ll admit it. I dragged my feet on this tool for so long because it really intimidated me but once I actually used it I was able to create my own bases for my furniture flips. I have so many other projects planned that I’ll need to use it for as well. It’s seriously the BEST.

I use: Kreg Tool KPHJ720PRO Pocket-Hole Jig 720 PRO

4. Japanese Hand Saw

This was another lifesaving tool and once I used long before I had a table saw to cut out my pieces. It can give you smooth edges and is great for trimming.

This is mine SUIZAN Japanese Hand Saw 9.5 Inch

5. Mitre (chop) Saw

If you haven’t heard the story of how I came upon my first Mitre Saw well, it’s a good one. I’ll reshape it soon! This was actually the VERY first saw I ever purchased. However, I didn’t start using it for months. I started with my Jigsaw but am I glad I finally learned to use this baby. I’m obsessed.

This is the one I have. I really love a smaller 7 1/4” blade but I have also had 10” Mitre too —> Ryobi 10 Amp 7 1/4 Sliding Mitre Saw!

6. Table Saw

A MUCH later purchase but again, one I wish I would have learned much earlier. Table saws add so much freedom to your creative projects. As always, safety first but slowly getting comfortable with one is freeing!

This is a great one —> DEWALT Table Saw for Jobsite, Compact, 8-1/4-Inch

7. Brad Nail Gun

I think I just may saw this about all these tools but THIS ONE WAS A GAME CHANGER! When I saw I love it I mean I’m obsessed. This is the exact one I use and I love that it is cordless. Ryobi 3 Piece 18V One+ Airstrike Brad Nailer Kit

  1. Zibra Paint Brushes

One thing you will learn when you start refinishing furniture is not all paint brushes are created equal. Zibra Paint Brushes are the only ones I use because their consistency is like no other. I can’t speak more highly of these!

This kit is the one I started with —> Best Of Zibra Paintbrush Kit-5 Piece

  6. Krud Kutter

Step number 1 in furniture flipping: Clean, clean, clean your furniture first! If you don’t you are essentially sanding and painting who knows how many years of filth into the piece.

I use several things but Krud Kutter is one of my favorites.
